Welcome to our friendly lakeside village
Natural beauty and rich history
Originally an Algonquin settlement, Sharbot Lake has been a home for lumberjacks, hunters and traders for centuries. It lies amidst the limestone forests of the Frontenac Arch, an archipelago of the Canadian Shield known for its beautiful rolling forests and abundant, clean lakes.
Sharbot Lake itself, stretching 9 km to the east and west of the village, has 99 islands and is home to diverse wildlife. The village of Sharbot Lake, 5 minutes from Highway 7, has a variety of amenities within walking distance including a public beach, playground, restaurant, cafe, grocery store, post office, hardware store, pharmacy, gas station, and the Trans Canada and K&P trailheads.

Close enough for a day trip, wild enough to see the Milky Way
Escape the city noise and overcrowded tourist throngs. Sharbot Lake is less than 1.5 hours from Ottawa or the New York border, and 3 hours from Toronto or Montreal. The air is fresh, the stars shine brightly, and the birds always seem to be singing. Beckoning day-trippers, outdoor-adventurers, nature-lovers and small-town explorers - come relax for the day, or for the week.

Gateway to adventure and relaxation
With the clear waters of Sharbot Lake on both sides of the village, visitors can enjoy both the sunrise and sunset over glorious blue waters. Surrounded by lakes, forest, trails, provincial parks and beaches, Sharbot Lake is an ideal 4-season launch point for all kinds of outdoor recreation. With unique small towns, farmers markets, vineyards, micro-breweries and artisans nearby, guests can enjoy the best of small town Ontario charm.
